To simplify the process of specifying railing components, we have developed a modular railing ordering system. Available in the standard size 8 fittings (48.3mm O/D tube) these convenient kits enable quick and simple construction of most handrail installations. The posts are spaced apart by a pair of tube creating 1500mm centres between each upright. Finished handrail height is 1100mm, all clamps and tube are galvanised to BS 729 (ISO 1461).
Due to the wide range of surfaces that these kits can be fixed to, we do not supply fixing bolts for the base fittings. For light weight applications expansive bolts can be used, for medium and heavy weight applications chemical anchor kits need to be used. Both fixing systems are available from local builders merchants. The A12 base fittings have two 14mm diameter holes that are suitable for taking M12 bolts or studwork. The A10 wall terminations have 10mm holes. |
